A little about me
After obtaining my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, I began working in the South Bronx with children and teenagers in foster care doing cognitive and behavioral interventions aimed at improving school performance and increasing teenagers self-efficacy and self-esteem. During my work in child welfare, I obtained my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University in 2012. After developing a solid foundation in behavioral and cognitive interventions, I decided to make the switch to practicing psychotherapy and developing my skills as a therapist.
Being influenced by Buddhism and Eastern religious practices, I began to study mindfulness in 2006. After being introduced to Buddhism, I began to study meditation and tied my meditative practice into a holistic wellness practice, which I use to help guild my clients to experience more overall contentment and happiness.
